MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Jack Line, 5250 Case Avenue, spoke in opposition to Pleasanton Railroad Association's <br />request for an excursion train. He disagreed that the train will bring more business to <br />downtown. Mr. Line was concerned about safety and approving the monies for the grant while <br />the City is experiencing economic difficulties. <br /> <br /> Mary Needles, 3263 Vineyard Avenue, #133, spoke about Caltrans proposed freeway <br />transition (flyover) at the 1-580/I-680 interchange. She was concerned with the safety of the <br />flyover because it was being built on the earthquake faults in this area. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet assured Ms. Needles that she would be notified of any public hearings that <br />will be held regarding this subject. <br /> <br /> Sherryl Dennis, 3768 Nichole Avenue, asked what the procedure was in appealing <br />Council's approval of the WalMart project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush explained that the time period to f~e referendum petitions ends February 3, <br />1994 (30 days after approval). <br /> <br />02/01/94 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
