It was moved by Mayor Tarvet, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Option #1: <br /> CTW shall provide comprehensive tobacco prevention programs (valued at $18,721.00) for all <br /> Pleasanton fifth and seventh graders, plus one community-wide program for the general public; <br /> in consideration for this service, the City shall forgive CTW's debt of $16,862.00; the <br /> Pleasanton Unified School District shall pay to the City of Pleasanton $2,400.00 and provide <br /> School District facilities and staff to support this program. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Item 6f <br /> Creation of a Pleasanton Youth Commission <br /> <br /> This item was discussed earlier in the agen_da. <br /> <br /> Item 6a <br /> Creation of Affordable Housina Commission <br /> <br /> This item was continued to the 1/16/96 agenda. <br /> <br /> Item 6h <br /> ReCommendation to annr0ve the Tri-VaHey Convention and Visitor~ Bureltu {CVB} <br /> fOrmatiOn and to amend the curr~nt CVB Budget (SR95:425) <br /> <br /> Deborah Acosta presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet stated he wanted to see a strong organization that stays together with a Tri- <br /> Valley purpose. He felt this was not as strong a process as it could be if all the cities were <br /> working together. <br /> <br /> Lisa Dial, Pleasanton Convention and Visitors Bureau, 10 West Neal Street, supported <br /> the staff recommendation. She has been able to work closely with staff about the direction of <br /> the Tri-Valley Bureau and stated the Bureau is very enthusiastic. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Ms. Micheloff, that Resolution No. 95-145 <br />-- be adopted, approving a Tri-Valley CVB, approving a $2,000 budget amendment for the current <br /> fiscal year to fund the one time costs associated with the formation of the Tri-Valley CVB; and <br /> <br /> 12/05/95 -23- <br /> <br /> <br />
