Mayor Tarver commented that staff will not present a report to Council if it is an issue <br />that it does not want to pursue. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico agreed that an individual Councilmember should be able to put something on <br />the agenda. If an individual from the community can write a letter and put something on the <br />agenda, then someone elected by the people should be able to do so also. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelot~ indicated her point was one person can take something off the agenda, <br />but one person could not put something on the agenda and she felt there was an inequity there. <br /> <br />Matters Initiated bv Council <br />Mayor's Dinner <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti complimented the staff and Mayor for the Mayor's Award Dinner. She <br />complimented the Mayor on his choice of Brad Hirst for the award. Mr. Hirst has done a lot <br />for the community. The whole event was enjoyable. <br /> <br />Street ReDairs <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked about the Neal Street railroad cwssing and if there are any future <br />repairs to be done on it. Could this area be smoothed out? <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver also inquired about Stanley Boulevard between First Street and Santa Rim. <br /> <br />Renaissance Faire <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti referred to the proposal to move the Renaissance Faire to Sunol. If the <br />County proceeds with that, is there an ~IR that is being prepared? She was asked by a resident <br />that when the EIR comes out how would Pleasanton respond to it? <br /> <br /> MS. Aeosta replied that we would respond to the EIR within thirty days like any other <br />EIR on a project which may affect Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Constitutional Commission Revision <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked if Council's response to the opinion poll from ABAG on the <br />Constitutional Revision Commission questionnaire was on the next agenda for comments back <br />to the preliminary recommendations. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta stated she had not seen that document at all. <br /> <br />11/14/95 -18- <br /> <br /> <br />
