Mayor Tarver commented that staff will not present a report to Council if it is an issue that it does not want to pursue. Mr. Pico agreed that an individual Councilmember should be able to put something on the agenda. If an individual from the community can write a letter and put something on the agenda, then someone elected by the people should be able to do so also. Ms. Michelot~ indicated her point was one person can take something off the agenda, but one person could not put something on the agenda and she felt there was an inequity there. Matters Initiated bv Council Mayor's Dinner Ms. Michelotti complimented the staff and Mayor for the Mayor's Award Dinner. She complimented the Mayor on his choice of Brad Hirst for the award. Mr. Hirst has done a lot for the community. The whole event was enjoyable. Street ReDairs Ms. Michelotti asked about the Neal Street railroad cwssing and if there are any future repairs to be done on it. Could this area be smoothed out? Mr. Tarver also inquired about Stanley Boulevard between First Street and Santa Rim. Renaissance Faire Ms. Michelotti referred to the proposal to move the Renaissance Faire to Sunol. If the County proceeds with that, is there an ~IR that is being prepared? She was asked by a resident that when the EIR comes out how would Pleasanton respond to it? MS. Aeosta replied that we would respond to the EIR within thirty days like any other EIR on a project which may affect Pleasanton. Constitutional Commission Revision Mayor Tarver asked if Council's response to the opinion poll from ABAG on the Constitutional Revision Commission questionnaire was on the next agenda for comments back to the preliminary recommendations.
