Lisa Dial, 10 West Neal Street, stated she looked forward to showing Council that the
-- CVB can positively impact the economy of the community and the members it represents.

(d) Kaufman and Broad

Diane Turner, 3385 Hadsell Court, purchased a new home 2 1/2 years ago from
Kaufman and Broad. She and others are having trouble with the builder getting basic warranty
items corrected. The yard is sinking and the lawn and trees were dying. She also complained
of drainage problems. Ms. Turner did not believe her house meets the Building Code and did
not feel her questions were adequately answered by the Building Department. She and her
neighbor would like to meet with a Councilmember. There are at least ten homeowners that are
not happy with the builder. She hopes this builder would not be allowed to work in the City of
Pleasanton again.

Mayor Tarver stated that the Council would not be able to deal with all her problems that
night, but thought it was a good idea to set a meeting for her and the other residents to come
and talk with a Councilmember and staff about these problems. He volunteered to sit down with
the residents and work some of these issues out.

Kim Wirtz, Kaufman and Broad, stated considerable time and effort have been spent in
addressing Ms. Turner's concerns. She would be happy to meet with Council and discuss those
issues. Geological consultants and structural consultants have been brought out. There is a
formal process where homeowners can fill out a request and send it in to customer service. The
goal is to have homeowner concerns taken care of and addressed.

Ms. Acosta stated that the City had spent much time with Ms. Turner and did not agree
with all her statements. The City had done soil testing on the home site, but staff could go over
some of these issues again.

(e) Skateboard Park

Sandy Yamaoda, 3405 Byron Court, thanked the Council for all the hard work and
consideration that was put in the skateboard park. She also thanked Dolores Bengston and her
staff along with Mike Sedlack on the Park and Recreation Commission.

(f) General Plan Update Issues

Pam Chrisman, 1944 Vineyard Avenue, asked that the Council let the Vineyard
homeowners subdivide. The homeowners were promised they could subdivide if they annexed
to Pleasanton and now the General Plan Steering Committee has recommended that the Vineyard
Corridor not be permitted to subdivide. She asked that they be allowed to subdivide before the
General Plan is voted on.

09/05/95 -6-
