Ms. Acosta indicated that memo had been provided to all the homeowners and it will be
part of the next report coming to Council.

It was moved by Ms. Mohr, seconded by Ms Dennis, to accept the status report and
authorize the subcommittee to continue to work with representatives from Golden Eagle to
develop the geologic monitoring and maintenance plan for Council consideration at the May 16,
1995 meeting.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers- Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item f
Review and Finalize Community Survey Ouestions (SR 95:93)

This item was continued to the meeting of April 18, 1995.

Item 7g
City nolicy rel~arding sidewalk vending, street vending and catering trucks on nrivate
~ (SR 95: 104)

Michael Roush presented the staff report.

Mr. Tarver inquired if the Planning Commission had reviewed this ordinance.

Mr. Roush indicated it had not. It will if Council is interested in amending the Zoning
Ordinance. The other aspects of the report refer to items not in the Zoning Ordinance, but
rather to ordinances solely within Council's purview.

Ms. Mohr asked if the ordinance section regarding sale of the newspapers would allow
control of the newsracks.

Mr. Roush clarified this refers to vendors, not newsracks, and Ms. Acosta pointed out
that in recent parades and festivals there have been people selling newspapers and at some
locations, such as the Farmers Market or Raleys, newspapers are sold. Mr. Roush indicated that
technically this is not allowed under the current ordinance and the proposal is to correct that.

Mr. Pico believed the Planning Commission, Economic Development Advisory
Committee and the Downtown Association should review these issues.

04/04/95 -22-
