Mr. Line reminded the Mayor and Mr. Churka that there is a petition with 135
names of people opposed to the train on file with the Metropolitan Transportation
Commission. He did not believe a ballot measure would have any influence on the MTC.
Mr. Line's final questions were: what happens to the walkway to the Senior Center; what
is the PUC attitude about five street crossings; where is the rolling stock for the railroad;
and can the city afford to risk any more of the taxpayers' money?

Geoff Cooper, 7534 Flagstone, referred to the Council decision on the Ruby Hill
park fees credit. It was made late in the evening with no public comment. The
neighborhood park will not be open to non-residents and he questioned whether the
residents of Pleasanton are getting the best deal. The reasons for giving the maximum
are not clear to him and requested the Council to reconsider this item on a future agenda
and take public testimony.

Ms. Dennis agreed there needed to be more input from the public and more
information given to them. She suggested that questions be referred to Dolores Bengtson
so they can be answered in the staff report.

Ms. Michelotti agreed there needs to be fi~rther discussion, since there appears to
be a lot of misinformation circulating.

It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to reconsider the
decision giving the Ruby Hill park fee credit at the April 4, 1995 meeting.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councihnernbers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Fred Guyhart, 4779 McHenry Gate Way, Vice President of Pleasanton Men's
Senior Baseball League, and Butt Hadlock, 4718 McHenry Gate Way, President of the
Men's Senior Baseball League, agreed with the reconsideration of the Ruby Hill decision.
They believed City parks were at their maximum use and were opposed to using
developer fees for parks not available for city-wide use. They described the League, its
membership and history. The League sent three teams to the national tournament in
Arizona and the 30 and over team won its Division. They presented Council with a
plaque commemorating that.

Ms. Michelotti explained that the Ruby Hill park is a neighborhood park, not a
community park.

03/07/95 - 5 -
