believe that decisions handed down will get us where we want to be. There seems to be
a great deal of sLipport froin a broad cross-section for continuing this Commission.

Mr. Tarver stated there may be a restructuring that will be logical and supported.
He serves on LAFCO and has watched one process for consolidation of a fire district.
To just have a decision come down to eliminate a commission without following a process
is not acceptable.

It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Mr. Pico, to oppose the Governor's
proposal to eliminate the Bay Conservation & Development Commission.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councihnembers - Dennis, Pico and Mayor Tarver
NOES: Councihnembers - Michelotti and Mohr
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

7. PUBLIC HEARINGS

Item 7a
_ Approval of Southwest Corner of Sports Park for Skateboard Track Site (SR95:83)

This item was discussed earlier in the agenda.

Item 7b
Pleasanton Railroad Association issues consisting of:

(1) Request for Ballot Measure concerning extending steam train service to
downtown Pleasanton

(2) Request for clarification concerning a proposed Reimbursement Agreement for
costs of the environmental study

(3) Request to amend City zoning map concerning the location of the Alameda
County Transportation Corridor

(4) Junipero Street - Status of Use for Railroad (SR95:86)
These items were continued indefinitely.

03/07/95 - 20 -
