Mr. Chestnut said the wax-privet hedge will grow fifteen feet. The screening on the <br />backside of the barn has to wait until the bam is rebuilt. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis suggested planting tall evergreens. <br /> <br /> Mr. Chestnut said he is working on a design for the landscaping and would look at taller <br />screening. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver thanked him for working this out with his neighbors. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> Edward Rodondi, 225 Wildwood Drive, South San Francisco, was pleased in reaching a <br />resolution. He extended his appreciationto everyone. <br /> <br /> Seth Bland, 4086 Stanley Boulevard, thanked everyone involved and asked support of <br />staff s recommendations. <br /> <br /> There being no further speakers, the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if the design of the house would go back through the design process. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift indicated that staff would handle the new application administratively. The <br />second unit request needs a conditional use permit and that would go to the Planning Commission. <br />The Planning Commission has recommended that it be handled administratively. He indicated that <br />both applications are appealable. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. <br />9942, upholding the appeal and thereby approving the design parameters in the addition to <br />the existing house as set forth in Exhibit B but changing the condition as to the square footage <br />to not more than 3600 sq.ft., providing that the wax-privet shrubbery be the same height on <br />both sides of the property, and providing that taller screening be installed around the barn; <br />and directing staff to process the final design of the house addition, subject to the City's <br />administrative design review process which inchdes notice of the surrounding neighbors and <br />to process the proposed second unit through the City's normal review procedures, either <br />Planning Commission review under current regulations or staff level review if the draft <br />second unit ordinance is adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: CouncilmembersAyala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 8 04/6/99 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
