Ms. Michelotti asked if the house is still within the footprint of the original design just
rotated differently.

Mr. Chestnut said yes. The depth of the house is still 48 feet. He has reviewed the changes
with the neighbors who are comfortable with the changes.

Mayor Tarver clarified if he was asking to change the first condition listed in Exhibit B.

Mr. Chestnut said after all the changes the house ended up to be 3568 sq.ft. He has
mitigated the impact of the second story floor on the Rondondis' side by pulling the side in 18 feet
from the existing westerly wall. This has created a huge closet space, which could be made
smaller, but the neighbors do not have a problem with the square footage. They just would like the
house screened.

Mayor Tarver said the condition needed to be changed to read "3500 - 3600 sq.ft."

Ms. Michelotti was concerned with the difference in square footage.

Mr. Chestnut reiterated again the neighbors are not objecting to the size of the house and it
is still within City requirements.

Ms. Michelotti asked about the porch going out another twelve feet. She wanted him to be
aware of the view shed.

Mr. Chestnut said the porch would line up with Mr. Rondondi's house; therefore the view
will not be affected.

Ms. Michelotti asked if the hedge could be the same height on the Knapp side as it is on the
Rondondis' side.

Mr. Chestnut indicated that he did not have a problem with trimming the hedge to be the
same height on both sides.

Mayor Tarver said Exhibit B would be modified to say the house will be less than 3600
sq.ft. and that the hedge would be maintained the same height on the Rondondis' side as on the
Knapps' side.

Mr. Chestnut agreed.

Ms. Dennis said Mr. Ciesielski had a concem with the screening on the barn.

Pleasanton City Council 7 04/6/99
Minutes
