Mayor Tarver asked what the fire department does between weed abatement periods. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gary said anytime during the year if an individual notices a fire hazard the Fire <br /> Prevention Bureau at (925)454-2361 can be called. A fire inspector will be sent out to analyze the <br /> potential fire hazard and will provide fire mitigation advice. The fire inspectors also spend time in <br /> the Foothill and Ridgeline communities giving advice on fire safety clearances and defensible <br /> spacing around homes. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> There being no speakers, the public heating was closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Miehelotti, to adopt Resolution No. <br /> 99-041, approving the 1999 weed abatement program and authorizing staff to proceed with <br /> abatement of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain properties within the City <br /> of P!easanton. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: CouncilmembersAyala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver. <br /> NOES: None. <br /> ABSENT: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />-- Item 6b <br /> AP-98-19 {UP-98-76/Z-98-311 and Z-98-310, Jack Chestnut} <br /> Appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of applications for: (1} conditional use permit <br /> and administrative design review approvals to construct a new, one-stor~?, approximately 600 <br /> sq.ft. detached secondary unit to be located adjacent to the eastern side yard, in the <br /> approximate location of an existing detached accessory structure {the existing accessory <br /> structure would be demolished}, and (2} administrative design review approval to construct <br /> an approximately 2,436 sq.ft. one and two-story addition to the existing 1316 sq.ft. dwellin~ <br /> located at 4128 Stanley Boulevard. Zoning for the property is R-l-20,000 District. <br /> (SR99:092) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Jack Chestnut, 4128 Stanley Boulevard, presented larger site plans. The house has been <br /> reshaped with new parameters that seem to work for everyone. He has already planted 15-gallon <br /> wax-leaf privets that will grow fast to screen his property from his neighbors. He showed a Queen <br /> Anne design plans for the house and indicated the house, if approved, would be approximately <br /> 3568 sq.ft.
