Ms. Acosta said staff would provide information in writing at the next City Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following actions be <br />taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for March 9 and March 16, 1999. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim April 18 through April 24, 1999 as the week of the Young Child in conjunction <br /> with the National Association for the Education of Young Children to call attention to the <br /> need for high-quality early childhood services for all children and families and to urge all <br /> citizens to recognize and support the needs of young children within the community. <br /> <br />c. Proclaim April 11 through 18, 1999 as "Days of Remembrance", to remember the <br /> victims, survivors, and their liberators of the Holocaust and encourage all citizens to <br /> collectively and individually strive to overcome intolerance and indifference through <br /> leaming and remembrance. <br /> <br />d. Commend Kelly Topp, a Pleasanton resident, who on March 20, 1999, as a member of <br /> the Tri-Valley Gymnastics Team, participated in the Northern California Level 7 State <br /> Gymnastic Meet in the 11-year-old category and earned a first-place ranking in the "All <br /> Around" category, where she placed second on the bars, second on the beam, fifth on the <br /> floor and ninth on the vault. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala recognized Kelly Topp for her accomplishments and presented her with a <br />plaque. <br /> <br />e. Proclaim April 19 through April 23, 1999, as "National Volunteer Week" to recognize the <br /> many volunteers who set such a fine example by taking individual responsibility for <br /> addressing needs in our community, thereby demonstrating that one person's concem and <br /> action can and does have a significant impact, and to encourage all Pleasanton residents to <br /> join these individuals in making such a critical difference in our society. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 2 04/6/99 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
