CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following actions be taken on the Consent Calendar: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for March 9 and March 16, 1999. b. Proclaim April 18 through April 24, 1999 as the week of the Young Child in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children to call attention to the need for high-quality early childhood services for all children and families and to urge all citizens to recognize and support the needs of young children within the community. c. Proclaim April 11 through 18, 1999 as "Days of Remembrance", to remember the victims, survivors, and their liberators of the Holocaust and encourage all citizens to collectively and individually strive to overcome intolerance and indifference through leaming and remembrance. d. Commend Kelly Topp, a Pleasanton resident, who on March 20, 1999, as a member of the Tri-Valley Gymnastics Team, participated in the Northern California Level 7 State Gymnastic Meet in the 11-year-old category and earned a first-place ranking in the "All Around" category, where she placed second on the bars, second on the beam, fifth on the floor and ninth on the vault. Ms. Ayala recognized Kelly Topp for her accomplishments and presented her with a plaque. e. Proclaim April 19 through April 23, 1999, as "National Volunteer Week" to recognize the many volunteers who set such a fine example by taking individual responsibility for addressing needs in our community, thereby demonstrating that one person's concem and action can and does have a significant impact, and to encourage all Pleasanton residents to join these individuals in making such a critical difference in our society.
