It was moved by Ms. Mohr, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to introduce Ordinance No.
1691, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving the
application of Patco Enterprises for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development
plan approval for eleven clustered, single-family detached units on a 1.66 acre to located
at 4110 Dei Va!le Parkway, subject to the conditions set forth in the staff report, including
in.~taHation of a paved pathway on a portion of the Arroyo Del VaHe, as f'ded under Case
PUD-96-09.

The r011 call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, michelotti, Mohr, and Pico
NOES: Mayor Tarver
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

There was a break at 8:25 p.m.

The meeting reconvened at 8:32 p.m.

Item 6f
R~uest for Ston Signs on Kamp Drive at Kral Place/Kamp Court. and on Kamp Drive at
Helen Drive, (SR 96:263)

Randall Lum presented the staff report.

Ms. Dennis inquired if the traffic circle option is selected, how long will it take to
develop and install it?

Mr. Lum suggested a pilot program which would solicit citizen input and approval (e.g.,
approximately 6096 of each block adjacent to a traffic circle). Staff would like to develop
standards to bring back to Council and a proposal regarding landscaping. All this would take
about two to three months. Based on that, staff would then proceed with the neighborhood to
see if there were interest. If so, then it would take only a short time (two to three months) for
design and construction.

Mr. Pico asked if it were necessary to have a four-way intersection for a traffic circle.

Mr. Lum said no. It is less effective with no side streets, but there are designs to
accommodate appropriate traffic movement.

Mr. Tarver asked how much it would cost to install interim stop signs while the traffic
circle is being studied.

Mr. Lum said about $100 for each sign.

09/03/96 -9-
