(SR 96:231) <br /> This item was continued to August 20, 1996. <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Reimbursement Agreements with Signature Properties for the Vineyard Avenue "S" Curve <br />Realignment. "S" Curve Water Extension. "S" Curve Sewer ExtenSiOn. and the Ruby Hill <br />Fire Facility. (SR 96:245) <br /> <br /> Randall Lum presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr asked what was the latest date for starting construction on the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lum indicated it is right now. Signature is ready to start and have contractors lined <br />up for the project. He estimated the overall project will take four months, but the grading could <br />be done in the next couple of months before winter impacts. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked for public comment. <br /> <br /> G. Randy Kasten, 22320 Foothill Boulevard//330, Hayward, attorney for Wayne Hahner, <br />referred to the written material he had provided to Council. He said he could not respond to <br />the new agreement referred to because he had not had time to review it. He is concerned that <br />there will be a rush to a decision because of concerns about the weather. Mr. Hahner questions <br />what benefit he will receive from the straightening of the roadway. He concedes there is benefit <br />from the Fire Station in the area and is willing to contribute his share for that project. He <br />objects to other aspects of the reimbursement agreements and has concerns about how they will <br />affect his property. Mr. Hahner does not believe his property will be benefitted by the <br />straightening of Vineyard Avenue. He already has access to Vineyard Avenue, unlike other <br />properties in the area.
