Mr. Tarver felt the staff recommendation was for weed abatement pursuant to the
ordinance and if there is a problem with standards, we can come back to discuss that condition
as it relates to the whole city, not a particular property owner.

Ms. Michelotti indicated we are not excluding his property from abatement under the
ordinance, we are just postponing abatement until he can meet with staff for clarification.

Mr. Withers indicated there is flexibility. If there are two identical properties and one
is used for grazing, obviously the City will not come in and abate the feed.

It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennls, to adopt Resolution No.
96-52, approvlng the staff recommendation to proceed with the 1996 weed abatement
program excluding the Goodwin property pending review.

The r011 call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mob_r, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6c
PUD=96-03. l~rank Auf der Maur
Application for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan aDDroyal for a
four-lot s~bdivision. ret_a|nln~ the exist|n~ ~|n~le=famHv residence and constructln~ three
new uniSs, on an existing pro_Derty located at 4027 Vineyard Avenue. They stated residents of the apartment
complexes park on the public streets, which infringes on the Katinskys' ability to have guests
park in front of their home. They also complained of additional traffic congestion. Jan
Johnson, 359 Christina Court, also expressed concern about parking and traffic. She felt there
were too many driveways on this part of Vineyard Avenue which causes congestion when people
attempt to make turns into and out of driveways.

Frank Auf der lVlaur, Jr. 4482 Pleasanton Avenue, indicated he concurred with the staff
report.

05/21/96 -17-
