(SR97:341) <br /> <br /> Jim Balch presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Harry Mann, 7388 Las Palmas Way, Dublin, 94568, said he had a conflict with the name <br />of the company. He said the name is very similar to his company's name, Tri City Cab <br />Company, making it confusing for prospective customers. <br /> <br /> Terrence Maho, attomey for the applicant, said his client had gone through the extensive <br />review by the police department and he was here this evening to answer any questions that <br />Council may have. <br /> <br /> Ray (Reza) Ghorbani, 3802 Mohr Avenue, said the taxi cab ordinance stated that a <br />certificate of public convenience would only be issued if needed. He did not feel there was a <br />need for another taxi cab company. He said the City of Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose <br />have similar ordinances, but with limitations.
