Ms. Dennis asked if the ordinance required cab companies to have offices located within Pleasanton. She requested the Pleasanton addresses for all the existing cab companies be identified on any future applications. Mr. Balch said all cab companies are required to have an office within one year from the time their application is approved. Mayor Tarver agreed the ordinance should protect the original cab company that was operating here quite some time before there was a big interest in cab companies. He understood the ordinance may be amended. It was moved by his. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. 97-139, approving the application of All City Cab Company for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to operate a taxi service in the City of Pleasanton. Ms. Dennis asked if the melaleucas would survive in Pleasanton's climate. Mr. Swift said yes, the trees had been reviewed by city staff as to their survival in freezing weather. If the trees do not survive, they would be replaced. Mr. Pico asked if the City had any kind of ordinance regulating the height of play structures. Mr. Swift said typical play structures are treated as accessory structures and under the code are limited to where they can be located. Any structure above ten feet and below fifteen feet require administrative design review. Mr. Pico asked if this structure was within the setback requirements?
