Mayor Tarver did not agree with adding more units to 1999. He felt the space should <br />be saved in case it was needed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti disagreed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico felt there would be a deadlock on this issue and suggested putting it on the <br />agenda for October 7, 1997. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver agreed to moving the Hacienda residential projects units into 1997. <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if it would cause problems to delay this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said if the action is delayed, then Signature might not pull building permits. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarvet suggested allocating Presley's 50 units in 1998 and allocating Castlewood <br />Heights 29 units in 1998. This would solve the problem for 1999. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarver, seconded by Ms. Ayala, to adopt Resolution No. <br />97-118, approving the revised Growth Management rea!location schedule to allocate 29 <br />units in 1997 to Signature's Hacienda residential project, to allocate 20 more units to <br />Presley in 1998 and allocate 10 more units to Castlewood Heights in 1998 for a total of 737 <br />units in 1998; and authorize the City Manager to sign amendments to the respective existing <br />Growth Management agreements. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarvet said Castlewood Heights needed to get something done soon. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the project has changed hands and the current owner is prepared to move <br />forward. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti said the apartment project may have wanted to move some units forward <br />to 1998, but now that option has been taken away. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico wanted to remain consistent with his past policy on this issue and felt 750 units <br />was too high.
