City of Pleasant0n <br />Application to consider an amendment to Chapter 18.44 of the Ple4ks~nt0n Municipal Code <br />(Commercial Districts) to make liqUOr stores ¢0nditionaHy permitted uses in the <br />Ne'_tghborhood Commercial and Central Commercial Districts. (SR97:281) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico asked what notice was provided to the affected property owners. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the normal process for a City-wide code amendment is to notify <br />business/residents within a thousand feet of the immediate area. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico wanted to continue the item until more businesses and residents could be <br />notified. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver agreed with Councilmember Pico. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti said BonFare Market, the Chamber of Commerce, the Pleasanton <br />Downtown Association and eight existing liquor store owners had been notified. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to introduce an <br />amendment to the liquor Ordinance. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala and Michelotti <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico and Mayor Tarvet <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarver, and seconded by Mr. Pico, to continue this item to <br />October 7, 1997, in order to allow time to provide more notice to affected property owners. <br />The roll call vote was as fOllOws: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Michelotti, Pico and Mayor Tarvet. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6f <br />Semi-Annual review and consideration of Growth Management requests.
