MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Roger Gathers, 1212 Harvest Road, commented on the proposed firearm sale ordinance.
He felt some of Kimberly Rowland's comments were inaccurate. The problem was being
exaggerated and this ordinance was not needed. He said guns are not the problem; people are.

Diane Habener, 385 Linden Way, said while attending an Alameda County zoning
variance hearing, she discovered the Hempy/Faber parcel being developed in the County was
going to be 20,000 sq. ft. , not one acre lots as proposed. She said it was not represented this
way when it was presented to Council and wanted to know if there was any recourse.

Mr. Lum said staff was not aware of any lot line changes for the two lots. Council had
only approved sewer connections for two houses. Staff understood the lots would be one acre
in size and they would follow up on this.

Pleasanton City Council 08/05/97
Minutes 3
