Bryon Hay, 4251 Payne Road, was concerned about the affordable housing that is being <br />proposed for the Donlon School property. There was a meeting of over 100 concerned residents <br />who wanted to express their opposition to this proposal. He would like the residents to receive <br />prior notification of any matters that are being discussed regarding this property. If affordable <br />housing is allowed to be built there it would affect the quality of his life. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Pico requested the order of the agenda be changed as follows: Item 6a, Item <br />6c, Item 6f, Item 6d, and then Item 6e. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />Status Reoort on A!tamont Commuter Express Rail Project (SR97: 194) <br /> <br /> Randall Lum presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Harry Montgomery, 1810 E. Hazelton Street, Stockton, gave a brief report on the <br />Altamont Commuter Express project. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if the capacity for each train was 696. <br /> <br /> Mr. Montgomery said the capacity for each train is 600, with 1200-1400 passengers a <br />day each way. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if Mr. Montgomery felt the trains would pick up more passengers in <br />Pleasanton than in the four stops before Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Montgomery expected the trains to pick up 500 passengers in Tracy, and some <br />would get off in Livermore and Pleasanton. Over all, the four trains are expected to hold the <br />number of passengers projected. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if he expected the passengers to board in San Jaoquin County and <br />get off in Livermore or Pleasanton and then be bussed to the BART stations. <br /> <br /> Mr. Montgomery said there will be shuttle service to and from the BART stations. <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if the train would stop if the platforms were not provided. <br /> <br /> Mr. Montgomery said the trains would not stop. The platform in Pleasanton will be the <br />bare minimum.
