Ms. Ayala said the staff report listed a condition that might require additional air quality monitoring. If this were the case, the equipment would need to be kept. Mr. Paxton said the equipment could be retained. There being no further testimony, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Pico said he supported the Planning Commission recommendation to keep the monitoring requirement. Ms. Ayala said after talking with Mr. Paxton she felt comfortable there were enough safe-guards in the report not only to maintain the air quality but also to improve it. Mayor Tarver said that as a member of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, the District puts considerable effort into trying to reduce the air pollution in the Valley. He felt if the District wanted the Pleasanton monitoring station then it should have it. It was moved by Mayor Tarvet, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. 97-75, approving a negative declaration for the application of Hacienda Owners Association for a major modification to the Hacienda PUD, as filed under Case PUD-81-30- 38M/PUD-85-08-15M. The roll call vote was as follows; AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver.
