4. CONSENT CALENDAR

Nelson Reeve, 4018 Dorman Road, requested Item 4h, to prohibit parking on the west
side of Dorman Road between West Las Positas Boulevard and Donlon School for the
installation of on-street bike lanes, be removed from the consent calendar. The proposed on-
street parking prohibition is in front of his house and if this parking is removed it will cause a
hardship for him. He is in favor of the bike lanes going in but suggested posting signs allowing
parking during certain times. Mr. Lum said there was no problem removing this from the
agenda in order for staff to meet with Mr. Reeve.

Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, objected to modifications of PUD's, specifically
Item 40, eliminating public access to an open space area.

Mayor Tarvet said he asked staff about that modification and was told the particular open
space area was only serving the Canyon Creek development, whereas other modifications could
have an impact on the public.

Wolfgang and Jean Tertel, 4727 Amanda Place, said they supported Item 4q, PUD-90-18-
3M, the modification of the approved PUD plan for the Bonde Ranch development.

Ms. Michelotti commented there will be a joint meeting of the School District and City
Council on May 28 and at that time there will be a review of all the facilities, particularly the
proposed Middle School in the Hacienda Business Park.

It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following actions be
taken on the Consent Calendar:

a. Approve the City Council Minutes for May 6, 1997.

b. Proclaim June 14, 1997 "National Flag Day" in Pleasanton.

c. Accept the School Liaison Committee's findings and recommendations; and
authorize the City Manager to sign the revised School Facilities Agreements to
adjust the school impact fees to reflect the increased cost of school construction.
(SR97: 155)

d. Authorize the City Manager to sign an amendment to a Deferred Street
Improvement Agreement thereby releasing to Brian McGuire $66,000 that the
City is holding as security for certain street improvements. (SR97: 165)

e. Accept public improvements for Amaral Park (Standard Pacific of Northern
California). (SR97: 150)

Pleasanton City Council 05/20/97
Minutes 2
