(SR97: 135) <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> Brad Hirst, 1811 Santa Rita Road, #128, representing the adjacent property owners Bud <br />and Jeff Farley, said he was in agreement with the staff report that under the present time and <br />circumstances this is the most economical approach. He had concerns about the parking. The <br />City ordinance says if 2900 sq.ft. is added, ten parking spaces should be added, not four deleted. <br />Parking is an issue for downtown Pleasanton as well as the parking immediately west of the city <br />building. He suggested putting a time limit on 15-20 parking spaces, limiting the parking to two <br />hours. He also suggested leasing the adjacent San Francisco land for parking. He wanted to <br />encourage Council to put a time limit and look for at least ten additional parking spaces. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if land for parking could be leased from San Francisco? <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said staff is discussing this. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti said this points out to the dire need for space at City Hall. She said the <br />City demands excellent development, setbacks, landscaping requirements from the developers, <br />yet the City sets up medulars to house the City employees. According to the staff report the <br />proposed modulars will house the employees for fifteen years.
