Kaufman & Broad-South Bay. and <br />Ca!Mat (SR97: 131) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff reports. <br /> <br /> Michael Roush presented the staff report for 6c(5). <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if the CalMat agreement prevented the County from asking CalMat <br />from participating in regional transportation fees or city fees. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush said he had a discussion with CalMat prior to the Council meeting to answer <br />that question. If there was a voluntary land use change in respect to the property and there were <br />fees in place, the agreement did not preclude the developer from paying those fees. CalMat, <br />however, was not agreeing to pay those fees without knowing more about the fees and how it <br />would affect its operation. If there was not a voluntary land use change, the agreement would <br />seem to preclude the imposition of those fees. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the staff report items were reviewed by various city governing bodies and <br />the Planning Commission recommended approval of both the specific plan modification and the <br />PUD development plan.
