Item 6e <br />Semi-annual Review and Consideration of Growth Management Real!0C~ti0nS and <br />Allocations (SR97:88) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Item 6f <br />Modification to the Growth Management Program Ordinance Regarding LOwer InCOme <br />Pro_iects (SR96:297) <br /> <br /> Steven Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Item 7b <br />Mavor's request for Council direction on nrocess to use for review of Growth Management <br />Program (SR97:92) <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver stated his reasons for this report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if Item 7b contemplates the hiring of Mark Weinberger. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said yes. As to Item 6f, he is not in favor of changing the ordinance for <br />moderate income housing. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta asked if the lower-income, for sale could be considered separately from the <br />moderate income for sale housing. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said he appreciated where staff was coming from. The City Council has <br />managed to do what it wants under the existing growth management program, so until it is fixed, <br />Council can continue to do what it wants. <br /> <br /> The Mayor declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> Jan Batcheller, 644 Saint Mary Street, addressed the issue of hiring a consultant to work <br />out the growth management allocations. She commented that when the Mayor came into office <br />the Growth Management Ordinance was changed and if additional changes need to be made, the <br />City should use in-house counsel to do so. She does not support the hiring of an outside <br />consultant and felt this would be an improper use of taxpayers' dollars. <br /> <br /> Stan Erickson, 3684 Chillingham Court, felt that the City of Pleasanton needs a growth <br />rate in place.
