Ms. Ayala mentioned the information from staff regarding the General Plan designation <br />and the Specific Plan designations. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico said he was not aware of this information. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said there were copies at the last Council meeting but indicated she would <br />get the information for him as well as the public. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked if the public had a chance to review the memorandum from staff <br />reviewing some of the issues. He asked that copies be made for the public. <br /> <br /> There was a break at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br /> The meeting reconvened at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if the Spiliotopoulos property backed up to the Arroyo. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the parking lot behind the former Cheese Factory abuts the property <br />separated by a six foot fence. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Matt Tunhey, Pacific Union Ventures, provided a presentation of the proposed <br />development. He indicated that this project is not a spec development project. It is a project <br />that will be owner occupied. He believed this project would be an amenity to the City of <br />Pleasanton. He said this project has been designed with input from staff, incorporates the <br />neighbors' input, and is a direct reflection of the Specific Plan. He presented a letter from Julia <br />Rathbone, current owner of the property, who is confused as to which way the land can be <br />developed. Pacific Union Ventures has worked very closely with staff and the neighbors to <br />come up with a plan that works and one that will compliment the downtown area. <br /> <br /> Sudhish Mohindroo of S&Z/F+M Design Studio of San Francisco, presented a slide <br />presentation of the proposed development. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if he had any analysis of the relationship between the proposed <br />building and the Spiliotopoulos house. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mohlndroo said the victorian house will stand alone and he sees the proposed <br />building as a transition between commercial and residential and the two can coexist together. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis understood the residents preferred the parking lot between them and the <br />building. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 11 09/01/98 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
