He asked if mature trees could be planted from the start. He wanted to thank all those who gave their input and support for the parks in Hacienda. Shyam Taggarsi of Security Capital, 22320 Foothill,//220, Hayward, supported the design of the parks and urged Council to approve the plans. He wanted to compliment city staff for doing such an excellent job. He looked forward to starting on the project. Ms. Michelotti said there was still time for the public to offer comments and/or suggestions on the names for the parks. Ms. Ayala also wanted to thank all of those involved. There was no further testimony. It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Dennis, to approve the master plan as submitted by the consultant for the 3.0 acre neighborhood park to be constructed in North Pleasanton conditional upon incorporating design features that will reduce inappropriate use of the hardscape area near the play area by in-line skaters or skateboarders; and approve the master plan for the 6.6 acre neighborhood park to be constructed in North Pleasanton as submitted by the consultant.
