Ms. Acosta said Randy Lum of the Public Works Department had phoned and sent a <br /> letter to Zone 7 asking that the meeting be publicly televised. She understood that the meeting <br /> was taped by an individual and expected the video to be played on Channel 30. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti said she spoke with a Zone 7 Boardmember and asked that the meeting <br /> be televised. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cooper was disappointed that the meeting was not televised. It was a very <br /> interesting meeting and raised some of the issues about reverse osmosis treated sewage being <br /> injected into the drinking water aquifer. He believed the Regional Water Control Board was <br /> going to meet on September 14 and hoped this would be agendized before that. He also thought <br /> an item would be agendized for a discussion on whether the City of Pleasanton's sewage should <br /> be allowed to be used. He said there needed to be a discussion on this. He felt the people <br /> would like to know if they are drinking treated sewage water. He asked how long the influent <br /> levels last? In perpetuity? <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said a workshop will be held to further discuss this issue. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala invited anyone from the public who was interested to attend the workshop <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis understood the Planning Commission's actions are advisory. She felt it was <br />not intentional on the Planning Commissions pan to do something without public input. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />Pleasanton Library Governance Study (SR98: 184) <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta gave brief background comments leading up to the report that is before City <br />Council tonight. <br /> <br /> Steve Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said the City has a final agreement with the County. <br /> <br /> Dom Summa, Chair of the Library Commission, 5816 Cone Margarita, introduced the <br />members of the Library Commission. He provided background information and the rational for <br />the recommendation that was before the Council this evening. He explained how the library will <br />be operated after its withdrawal from the County.
