Mayor Tarver felt that was the makeup of the previous committee. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala suggested holding open workshops, hire a consultant if that is the consensus <br /> and let the public decide. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti was not in favor of the Council being the committee. She addressed the <br />issue of having a consultant. A consultant would be okay as long as the opportunity for free <br />flow of discussions was available. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico said the Golf Course Committee is significantly different from this committee <br />because there is no controversy. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver said the referendum was successful because it covered a large part of the <br />community. He believed the committee needed broad representation and encouraged anyone that <br />was interested in the scope as defined in the staff report for the East Side study to apply. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if the neighborhoods could be defined. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver was going to define the neighborhoods during the interview process. <br /> Ms. Ayala hoped the neighborhoods would bring forth a broad based group. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti commented on how successful the' process was during the Hacienda <br />Business Park General Plan process. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarver, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt <br />Resolution No. 98-112, creating the committee that will consist of eight representatives from <br />the neighborhoods, three developers, and two at large citizens; all applicants to be <br />interviewed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Dennis <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 10 08/04/98 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
