departments will have responsibility for public safety. She received yesterday a letter from the
Chief Administrative Officer for Alameda County describing that the County will maintain
authority for the health and safety on the Fairgrounds. However, the paragraph regarding the
City of Pleasanton's police and fire service is not as clear as she would like it to be. She
contacted Alameda County regarding this but as of 6:00 p.m. tonight she had not heard back
from the County. The agreement states for the duration of the Fair, the Sheriff's department
will maintain safety for the Fairgrounds and for the remainder of the year the City's police and
fire department activities will remain as they have in the past. It needs to be made clear who
has responsibility for what. She will share a copy of the letter with Mr. Cordtz and answer his
questions when she gets a more clear response from the County.

Mr. Cordtz said there should be a disaster plan created for the Fairgrounds. He wanted
the City to put pressure on the Fair Association to have a disaster plan in place.

Ms. Ayala asked if there was a disaster plan for the Fairgrounds.

Ms. Acosta said the Fairgrounds has a disaster plan.

Mr. Cordtz asked where he could obtain a copy of the disaster plan.

Ms. Michelotti said Alameda County has said it is in charge of the signs and therefore
the Liaison Committee had not addressed the issue.

Ms. Ayala handed Mr. Cordtz a copy of the letter.

Mayor Tarver asked if he had a copy of the agreement.

Ms. Acosta said staff would provide a copy to him.

6.
