Task 3. Preliminary Soundwall and Landscape Design (Continued) <br /> <br /> We will assist the City staff in conducting a second public <br /> meeting for the residents of the area to present the <br /> recommended soundwall program and the impacts of this work <br /> on the abutting private properties. Based on the response <br /> from these public meetings and the results of the resident <br /> questionnaire (to be sent by the City), up to five <br /> properties, with an identified conflict will be investigated <br /> and the relative impacts to the backyards defined. Any <br /> right-of-way modifications necessary to accommodate the <br /> selected wall location will be defined. <br /> <br /> We will prepare preliminary plans for planting and <br /> irrigation for Foothill Boulevard within the project <br /> limits. We will also include field verification and <br /> evaluations of existing plant species and irrigation <br /> equipment that is being field located by our surveyors. <br /> <br /> This task will result in a definition of the proposed <br /> soundwall in sufficient detail to start preparation of <br /> construction plans for the entire project. <br /> <br />Task 4. Soundwall and Landscape Plans <br /> <br /> Based on the results of "Preliminary Soundwall Design," we <br /> will prepare construction plans for the soundwall, sidewalk <br /> and landscaping within the project limits. These documents <br /> will meet City criteria for design standards and bidding <br /> procedures. <br /> <br /> Careful consideration will be given to the alignment of the <br /> wall as it affects existing trees and backyard <br /> improvements. Acting for the City we will coordinate with <br /> property owners the need to relocate or modify yard <br /> improvements such as metal sheds, wood decks, etc. to <br /> accommodate the wall construction. We will design to <br /> minimize impacts on existing trees. <br /> <br /> We will prepare construction plans for planting and <br /> irrigation for Foothill Boulevard within the project <br /> limits. Our construction documentation will also include <br /> specifications for both planting and irrigation. During the <br /> plan preparation process, Reimer Associates will provide the <br /> City with a 50% submittal for their review of planting <br /> layout/plant pallet and irrigation layout. <br /> <br /> REIMER ASSOCIATES <br /> <br /> <br />
