EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Task 1. Project Start-up <br /> <br /> Upon receipt of the notice to proceed from the City of <br /> Pleasanton, we will commence with the data collection and <br /> start-up phase of the project. We will collect relevant <br /> project data from the City, perform a detailed field review <br /> of the project site, and meet with the relevant agencies to <br /> discuss the project details. This work will include <br /> gathering utility data from PG&E, Pacific Bell, EBMUD, <br /> Dublin/Pleasanton Services District, and Viacom regarding <br /> existing utility locations, if any, in the project area. We <br /> will assist the City in conducting a public meeting for the <br /> 44 property owners who abut the proposed wall alignment to <br /> discuss the project and consolidate their comments. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Task, we will have the necessary <br /> information to proceed with the preliminary design for the <br /> wall construction. <br /> <br />Task 2. Topographic Surveys <br /> <br /> We will field survey along the intended alignment of the new <br /> wall. This survey will include features near the fence <br /> within public right-of-way, (ROW) and location of street ROW <br /> based on public record. <br /> <br /> This work includes: <br /> a. Field topographic data collection <br /> b. Establish horizontal & vertical control <br /> c. Field location of utilities affected <br /> d. Plotting of profile, utilities and ROW <br /> <br /> Topographic mapping will be prepared for the project limits <br /> between face of curb to the existing fence. We have <br /> included mapping of the curb returns and an additional 50 <br /> feet beyond the returns to allow for conforming and end <br /> treatments of walls, landscaping, and sidewalk improvements. <br /> <br /> Detailed topographic features within the private back yard <br /> areas are not included in this task. <br /> <br />Task 3. Preliminary Soundwall and Landscape Design <br /> <br /> We will prepare a preliminary layout for the alignment of <br /> the wall, sidewalk location, and schematic landscape plans. <br /> Input received from the residents, the City, and the <br /> affected utilities will be considered. We will assist the <br /> City in selection of an appropriate wall type and color. We <br /> will prepare preliminary wall and footing design details and <br /> calculations.
