Preparation of Base Map. <br /> <br />We would survey the selected pump station site and locate all existing <br />facilities that would be impacted by the project. Based on the survey data <br />we would prepare a base map for use in detailed design. <br /> <br />Task IV. Pump Specification and Ordering. <br /> <br />As noted above, the intent of this task is to reduce the time required for <br />construction by ordering the pumps prior to award of the construction <br />contract. There would then be two contracts fo~ the total project then, one <br />to supply the pumps and the other to construct the pump station building, <br />install the pumps, and complete the piping, electrical and control systeM. <br />(Note: If it is determined in Task I that the project is not so urgent, this <br />task would be omitted and the pumps specified as part of the construction <br />contract. ) Specific tasks would be as follows: <br /> <br />o Preparation of detailed specifications for pre-ordering pumps. <br />o Assistance in obtaining bids. <br />o Answering questions from suppliers during the bidding period. <br />o Assistance in evaluation of the bids and contract award. <br />Task V. Detailed Design of Pump Station. <br /> <br />This task would include preparation of detailed plans and specifications, <br />coordiDation with the City, PG&E, and other agencies as necessary to <br />obtain the necessary approvals for the project. In addition to routine <br />coordination, reviews would be scheduled with the City at the 50%, 90% and <br />final completion points in the design. <br /> <br />At this point it is anticipated that the plans would consist of <br />approximately 8 sheets as follows: <br /> <br />WDP . 8 . 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
