prepared new text sections, researched property ownership,
conducted a site inspection, and toured the county-owned
buildings to assess the potential hazardous waste problems
associated with their removal.

Task 3--Cultural Resources Supplemental Investigation

A reinspection of the Hacienda Drive/I-580 interchange was
required due to revisions in the Area of Potential Environ-
mental Impact IAPEI), resulting from the realignment of the
Frontage Road to accommodate the FHWA conditions of approval
of the Project Study Report (PSR). Also, during the course
of the review, it was discovered that the Historic Property
Survey Report (HPSR) prepared and submitted to Caltrans in
January 1986 had not been forwarded to FHWA and the State
Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) by Caltrans. This over-
sight required that an updated, revised HPSR be prepared and
submitted to Caltrans for their delivery.

CH2M HILL hired a cultural resources subconsultant to inves-
tigate the new APEI, coordinated and incorporated the sub-
consultant report into the document text, prepared text for
the new, updated HPSR, and delivered the HPSR to Caltrans
Headquarters for processing.

Task 4--Complete Right-of-Way Data Sheet

Although it was stated at our September 30, 1986 meeting
with Ray Cook of the Caltrans Right-of-Way Branch that the
right-of-way data sheet was not required for this project,
Caltrans later requested on September 4, 1987 that CH2M HILL
complete the data sheet. Therefore, the Right-of-Way Data
Sheet was researched, prepared, and incorporated into the
Project Report (PR).

Task 5--Incorporate Caltrans Project Study Report Text into
Environmental Document

Caltrans requested that CH2M HILL incorporate and match the
text from their PSR "word for word" in the ED. After this
task was completed, Caltrans decided that the information in
the PSR could not be released to the public and required
that the PSR wording be removed from the ED.

Task 6--TJKM Supplemental Traffic Analysis

Caltrans requested the preparation of a supplemental analy-
sis to describe the impacts of a revised 1-580/I-680 inter-
change plan. CH2M HILL's subconsultant, TJKM, re-analyzed
the traffic data developed for the project and prepared a
new Traffic Report and Technical Appendix, dated December
1987.
