B.S. or B.A. Degree 5% <br /> <br /> One hundred twenty semester (120) 5% <br /> units or their quarter hour equivalents <br /> <br /> M.S. or M.A. Degree 5% <br /> <br /> NOTE: The above educational levels are not cumulative. The <br /> maximum educational incentive pay received by a single employee <br /> shall not exceed 5%; nor shall an employee receive incentive pay <br /> for more than one educational level at the 2-1/2% rate nor more <br /> than one educational level at the 5% rate. <br /> <br />19.6 Documentation of Educational Achievement <br /> <br /> A. Evidence of successful completion of a degree or <br /> certificate shall consist of either of the following: <br /> <br /> 1.Diploma or certificate indicating the major <br /> field of study. <br /> 2. Letter from the college registrar certifying <br /> award of the degree or certificate and the <br /> major field of study. <br /> <br /> B. Evidence of completion of the required accredited semester <br /> units or quarter hours equivalents may consist of any of the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> 1. College transcript of grades. <br /> 2. Official grade slips from each of the courses. <br /> 3. Letter from the college registrar certifying the <br /> completion of each course with a grade of "C" or <br /> better. <br /> <br />19.7 Termination of Educational Incentive Pay <br /> <br /> Educational Incentive Pay shall be terminated at such time as the <br /> employee receiving educational incentive pay is promoted to or <br /> otherwise placed in a position requiring the educational level <br /> which he currently possesses or a higher educational level. <br /> <br />19.8 Tuition Reimbursement <br /> <br /> A. Only employee enrolled in the Educational Incentive Plan <br /> shall be eligible for tuition reimbursement. <br /> <br /> B. Tuition shall be reimbursed in the amount and at the rate <br /> for internal degree levied by Hayward State University at <br /> the time of the employee's enrollment in the courses for <br /> which tuition reimbursement is requested. However, the <br /> the maximum amount of tuition reimbursement shall not <br /> exceed $300.00 per year per employee. <br /> <br /> - 32 - <br /> <br /> <br />
