B. The written application submitted to the Educational <br /> Standards Committee must include the following: <br /> <br /> 1.A description of the educational level to be <br /> pursued; <br /> <br /> 2. Employee's pursuing a specific number of college <br /> credits as set forth in this plan in lieu of a <br /> degree must submit a list of courses to be taken. <br /> Of the college credits submitted, elective (non-job <br /> related), courses shall not exceed the proportionate <br /> number of elective courses permitted under approved <br /> college degree programs. <br /> <br /> C. Prior to enrollment in a junior college, college, or <br /> university, the employee must have received written <br /> approval from the Education Standards Committee as to <br /> his/her eligibility to enroll in the Educational <br /> Incentive Plan and the job relatedness of the educational <br /> level to be pursued. <br /> <br /> NOTE: No employee shall receive educational incentive <br /> pay for any educational level attained unless he/she <br /> has received advanced written approval from the <br /> Educational Standards Committee as set forth in this <br /> section. <br /> <br /> D. The junior college, college, or university from which <br /> an educational level is to be received must be accredited <br /> by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. <br /> <br />19.5 Educational Levels/Pay <br /> <br /> The Educational levels attained under the Incentive Pay Plan must <br /> be completed with a total grade point average of "C" or better. <br /> The specific levels of educational achievement and their <br /> respective educational pay percentages to which the educational <br /> incentive pay plan applies are as follows: <br /> <br /> Level Pay Percentages <br /> A.A. or A.S. Degree 2-1/2% <br /> <br /> Sixty (60) accredited semester units 2-1/2% <br /> or their quarter hour equivalents <br /> <br /> E.I.T. Certificate - The E.I.T. 2-1/2% <br /> Certificate must be accompanied by <br /> 60 approved semester units or their <br /> quarter hour equivalent to be <br /> eligible for incentive pay <br /> <br /> - 31 - <br /> <br /> <br />
