City of Pleasanton <br /> <br /> STAFF 4N <br /> REPORT <br /> <br /> February 7, 1989 <br /> Parks and Community Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Policies and Fees governing use of the <br /> Amador Theater. <br /> <br />PARK ANDRECREATION COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br /> At their January 12, 1989 meeting the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission approved by resolution (89-3) the <br /> policies and fees governing the use of the Amador <br /> Theater: (AYES: Cooper, Oliverius, Silva and Acting <br /> Chair Fields; NOES: None; ABSTAIN: None; ABSENT: <br /> Krahnke, McKeon). <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br /> Staff recommends that the Council approve the policies <br /> and fees governing use of the Amador Theater. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: A committee of representatives from the Pleasanton <br /> Cultural Arts Council, the Pleasanton Unified School <br /> District and the City have met and formulated policies <br /> and fees for the use of the Amador Theater. Policies <br /> were developed that give first priority for theater use <br /> to Pleasanton groups, allows the City to monitor use to <br /> assure theater is used properly and are consistent with <br /> existing City policies. Fees are based on 50% recovery <br /> of costs associated with the operation of the theater. <br /> Council may choose to raise or lower fees based on level <br /> of recovery desired or adopt as is. <br /> <br />SR 89:56 <br /> <br /> <br />
