2.36.050 2.36.050 Officers: The officers of the Commission shall be a chairperson and a vice chairperson. A. Chairperson: The chairperson shall be liaison with the City Council, press and individual commissioners. The chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Commission. B. Vice Chairperson: The vice chair- person shall perform the duties of the chairperson in the absence or incapacity of the chairperson, and in the case of the resignation or death of the chair- person, the vice chairperson shall per- form such duties as are imposed on the chairperson until such time as the Com- mission shall select a new chairperson. C. Additional Duties: The officers of the Commission shall perform such other duties and functions as may be required by the Board, the Commission or the bylaws or rules and regulations of the Authority. D. Election Or Appointment: The chairperson and vice chairperson shall be elected by a majority vote at the annual meeting of the Commission from among the commissioners of the Authority, and shall hold office for one year or until their successors are elected and qualified. E. Vacancies: Should the offices of chairperson or vice chairperson become vacant, the Commission shall elect a successor from its membership at the next regular meeting, and such election shall be for the unexpired terms of the office. (Ord. 1217 § 1, 1985; Prior Code § 1-3.33.20) 2.36.060 Housing Authority Officers: A. Executive Director: The Board of Directors shall appoint an Executive Director. The Executive Director shall have general supervision over the ad- ministration of the Housing Authority's business and affairs, subject to the direction of the Board, and shall be charged with the management of the housing projects of the Housing Au- thority. The Executive Director shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. B. Secretary: The Executive Director shall serve as the executive secretary of the Board. The executive secretary shall keep the records of the Housing Au- thority; act as secretary of the meetings of the Board and the Housing Commis- sion and record all votes, and shall keep the minutes and records of the Housing Authority for such purposes; shall keep in safe custody the seal of the Housing Authority and shall have power to affix such seal to all contracts and instruments authorized to be exe- cuted by the Housing Commission; with the chairperson of the Housing Com- mission, sign all contracts, deeds and other instruments. C. Treasurer: The Executive Director shall serve as the treasurer of the Hous- ing Authority. The treasurer shall have the care and custody of all funds of the Housing Authority and shall deposit the same in the name of the Housing Au- thority in such bank or banks as the Board may select. Procedures for issu- ance of checks and orders for the pay- ment of money shall be established by resolution of the Housing Commission. (Pleasanton 5-98) 34-4
