2.36.050 <br />2.36.050 Officers: <br />The officers of the Commission shall <br />be a chairperson and a vice chairperson. <br />A. Chairperson: The chairperson <br />shall be liaison with the City Council, <br />press and individual commissioners. <br />The chairperson shall preside at all <br />meetings of the Commission. <br />B. Vice Chairperson: The vice chair- <br />person shall perform the duties of the <br />chairperson in the absence or incapacity <br />of the chairperson, and in the case of <br />the resignation or death of the chair- <br />person, the vice chairperson shall per- <br />form such duties as are imposed on the <br />chairperson until such time as the Com- <br />mission shall select a new chairperson. <br />C. Additional Duties: The officers of <br />the Commission shall perform such <br />other duties and functions as may be <br />required by the Board, the Commission <br />or the bylaws or rules and regulations <br />of the Authority. <br />D. Election Or Appointment: The <br />chairperson and vice chairperson shall <br />be elected by a majority vote at the <br />annual meeting of the Commission <br />from among the commissioners of the <br />Authority, and shall hold office for one <br />year or until their successors are elected <br />and qualified. <br />E. Vacancies: Should the offices of <br />chairperson or vice chairperson become <br />vacant, the Commission shall elect a <br />successor from its membership at the <br />next regular meeting, and such election <br />shall be for the unexpired terms of the <br />office. (Ord. 1217 § 1, 1985; Prior <br />Code § 1-3.33.20) <br />2.36.060 Housing Authority <br />Officers: <br />A. Executive Director: The Board of <br />Directors shall appoint an Executive <br />Director. The Executive Director shall <br />have general supervision over the ad- <br />ministration of the Housing Authority's <br />business and affairs, subject to the <br />direction of the Board, and shall be <br />charged with the management of the <br />housing projects of the Housing Au- <br />thority. The Executive Director shall <br />serve at the pleasure of the Board. <br />B. Secretary: The Executive Director <br />shall serve as the executive secretary of <br />the Board. The executive secretary shall <br />keep the records of the Housing Au- <br />thority; act as secretary of the meetings <br />of the Board and the Housing Commis- <br />sion and record all votes, and shall <br />keep the minutes and records of the <br />Housing Authority for such purposes; <br />shall keep in safe custody the seal of <br />the Housing Authority and shall have <br />power to affix such seal to all contracts <br />and instruments authorized to be exe- <br />cuted by the Housing Commission; with <br />the chairperson of the Housing Com- <br />mission, sign all contracts, deeds and <br />other instruments. <br />C. Treasurer: The Executive Director <br />shall serve as the treasurer of the Hous- <br />ing Authority. The treasurer shall have <br />the care and custody of all funds of the <br />Housing Authority and shall deposit the <br />same in the name of the Housing Au- <br />thority in such bank or banks as the <br />Board may select. Procedures for issu- <br />ance of checks and orders for the pay- <br />ment of money shall be established by <br />resolution of the Housing Commission. <br />(Pleasanton 5-98) 34-4 <br />
