There is adopted by reference that certain code known as the uniform building code, parts 1, 2 and 3, more particularly described in this section, except such portions as are amended, modified or deleted in this chapter and the same is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this chap- ter. B. Said code is the California Build- ing Standards Code, 2001 edition (24 CCR), and including by reference the uniform building code, 1997 edition, parts 1, 2 and 3 and all appendices thereto, published by the International Conference of Building Officials, in- cluding the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), articles NFPA 13, 1999 edition and NFPA 13-D, 1999 edition; as modified or amended in the California Building Standards Code referenced herein. C. Where there is a reference in the code to the "building official" it shall mean the "chief building official" or in the absence of the chief, the interim, temporary or acting chief building official.
