18.116.040 <br />ten feet (10') in length, shall be affixed <br />on the hotel building wall or windows, <br />shall be located within ten feet (10') of <br />the main hotel entrance, and shall be no <br />higher than twelve feet (12') above the <br />ground floor grade. Individual vendor <br />signs may not exceed eight (8) squaze <br />feet in area and shall be installed within <br />the sales area of the individual vendor. <br />Vendor signs shall be placed no higher <br />than eight feet (8') from grade and <br />shall not be oriented towazds or attempt <br />to draw attention from any public street <br />or freeway. The "welcome" and indi- <br />vidual vendor signs may only be dis- <br />played during the outdoor event. <br />6. The event meets the requirements <br />of the police and fire departments as to <br />security, safety, noise, fire hazards, and <br />emergency access; the event meets all <br />applicable requirements of the building <br />and fire codes; and the applicant has <br />obtained all necessazy permits. <br />7. Outdoor sales/displays shall not <br />obstruct vehicular or pedestrian ingress <br />to/egress from any business and shall <br />make available sufficient parking for <br />convention attendees and hotel guests <br />as determined by the zoning adminis- <br />trator. <br />8. The property owner has approved <br />the event in writing. (Ord. 1906 § 2, <br />2004; Ord. 1694 § 1, 1996; Ord. 1511 <br />§ 2, 1991; Prior Code § 2-10.25) <br />18.116.045 Outdoor Sales During <br />Hotel Conventions: <br />(Rep. by Ord. 1906, 2004) <br />18.116.050 Christmas Tree Sales In <br />R-1 And RM Districts: <br />Christmas tree sales lots may be <br />approved in R-1 and RM districts by <br />the zoning administrator, provided that <br />the findings required by section <br />18.124.070 of this title shall be made. <br />The procedures and requirements for <br />Christmas tree sales lots in R-1 and RM <br />districts shall be as follows: <br />A. Procedure: <br />1. Notice of the proposed Christmas <br />tree sales lot shall be sent by mail to all <br />property owners shown on the last <br />equalized assessment roll as owning <br />real property within three hundred feet <br />(300') of the exterior boundaries of the <br />site of the proposed sales lot at least <br />ten (10) days prior to the date on which <br />the decision will be made on the use <br />permit application. <br />2. If a heazing is requested, the zon- <br />ing administrator shall schedule a pub- <br />lic hearing to be held prior to a deci- <br />sion being made. No public heazing <br />shall be held unless such a request is <br />made. <br />B. Requirements: <br />1. The minimum setback between the <br />Christmas tree sales lot and any exist- <br />ing residential use shall be one hundred <br />feet (100'). <br />2. No permit shall be granted unless <br />the operation of the outdoor sale will <br />not be detrimental to the public health, <br />safety and general welfaze. Conditions <br />may include, but shall not be limited <br />to: <br />a. Review of site plan to access <br />lighting and traffic circulation so as not <br />to interfere with surrounding residential <br />uses; <br />b.
