20.08.013 <br />(24 CCR), and including by refer- <br />ence the uniform building code, is <br />amended to read as follows: <br />106.4.4 Expiration. <br />Every permit issued by the building <br />official under the provisions of the <br />uniform codes as adopted in this <br />article shall expire by limitation and <br />become null and void if one or more <br />of the following conditions occur: <br />1. The work authorized by such <br />permit is not commenced within <br />180 days from the date of issuance <br />of such permit; or <br />2. The work authorized by such <br />permit is suspended or abandoned <br />for 180 days at any time after such <br />work has commenced; or <br />3. 180 days has elapsed since the <br />most recent approval has been <br />given by the building official for a <br />required inspection, as enumerated <br />in section 108.5 of the California <br />Building Standards Code 2001 <br />edition (24 CCR). <br />If the permit has expired, before such <br />work can be recommenced, anew <br />permit shall be first obtained to do <br />so, and the fee therefor shall be one <br />half the amount required for a new <br />permit for such work, provided no <br />changes have been made or will be <br />made in the original plans and spec- <br />ifications for such work, and pro- <br />vided further that such suspension or <br />abandonment has not exceeded one <br />year. In order to renew action on a <br />permit after expiration, the permittee <br />shall pay a new full permit fee. <br />Any permittee holding an unexpired <br />permit may apply for an extension of <br />the time within which work may <br />commence under that permit when <br />1. The master fee schedule is on file in the office of the city clerk. <br />the permittee is unable to commence <br />work within the time required by this <br />section for good and satisfactory rea- <br />sons. The building official may extend <br />the time for action by the permittee for <br />a period not exceeding 180 days on <br />written request by the permittee show- <br />ing that circumstances beyond the con- <br />trol of the permittee have prevented <br />action from being taken. No permit <br />shall be extended more than once. <br />(Ord. 1869 § 2, 2002) <br />20.08.015 Fees And Plan Review: <br />Section 107.1 fees and plan review, <br />section 107.2 permit fees, section 107.3 <br />plan review fees and appendix section <br />3310.1 general of the California Build- <br />ing Standards Code, 2001 edition (24 <br />CCR), and including by reference the <br />uniform building code, 1997 edition, <br />shall be as set forth in the city of <br />Pleasanton master fee schedule[.
