Installation of Spark Arresters. 1. Existing dwelling units shall be retrofitted with a spark arrestor upon the occurrence of any of the follow- ing events: I. Upon notice from the City; II. Reroofing; III. Resale of the dwelling unit; IV. Issuance of a building permit for alterations, repairs or additions in excess of $1,000. 2. In the event of a resale of a dwell- ing unit, the seller shall be responsi- ble to comply with this ordinance.
