TRI VALLEY TRANSPORTATION COUNCIL <br /> <br /> RULES OF-PROCEDURE <br /> <br />1. Composition. The Tri Valley Transportation Council (TVTC) <br /> is composed of representatives from the Cities of Livermore, <br /> Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Town of Danrills and the <br /> Counties of Alameda and Contra Costa. <br /> <br />2. Membership of the TVTC. <br /> <br /> (A) COmposition <br /> <br /> (1) There shall be 7 voting members on the TVTC. <br /> Voting members must be elected officials or <br /> designated alternates, one each from the five city <br /> councils and one each from the Alameda and Contra <br /> Costa County Board of Supervisors. <br /> <br /> ( 2 ) Each City or Town and Board of Supervisors may <br /> appoint one alternate who may vote in the absence <br /> of the designated .voting member. <br /> <br /> (B) Terms of Office <br /> <br /> Appointments tO the Council are for two-year terms, <br /> beginning on January 1st. The appointee must remain a <br /> Councilmember, Mayor or Supervisor to serve. <br /> <br /> (c) <br /> <br /> Alternates or representatives may be removed from office <br /> by the appointing jurisdiction. If a member is removed, <br /> the appointing jurisdiction shall appoint a replacement <br /> to fill the remainder of the member's term within thirty <br /> days after the removal. <br /> <br /> The TVTC Chair shall be elected from among the voting <br /> members by a majority vote. The term of office shall be <br /> from the date of his or her election to the end of the <br /> year as established in Section 2 (B). <br /> <br /> A Vice Chair may be elected from among the voting members <br /> by a majority vote of those members present and voting. <br /> The term of office shall be from the date of his or her <br /> election to the end of the year as established in Section <br /> 2 (B) . <br /> <br /> <br />
