She noted <br />that it gave people an opportunity to see how something like that might work <br />Commissioner Roberts believed the transit demonstration should be separated from the <br />alternative energy component, which also increased the cost. <br />Commissioner Blank inquired whether the language "consider ways to optimize the <br />ACE train station" meant ways to improve the station. Ms. Ott replied that it would <br />explore ways to increase readership. Commissioner Blank did not see a similar statement <br />regarding BART, so it became a more pleasant way to travel. Ms. Ott replied that the policies in this document were broader, calling for <br />"adequate reserves." She added that the City had a framework of additional policies that <br />are presented annually with the budget, reflecting in more detail Commissioner Blank's <br />concerns. She noted that ten percent ($8 million) of the General Fund revenue is <br />~/'` maintained for economic uncertainties.
