PC-2006-06 and PC-2006-07 recommending approval of the Negative <br />Declaration and the project, respectively, were entered and adopted as motioned. <br />Commissioner Fox requested that the neighbor who objected to the tot lot be notified of <br />the Commission's action and of the hearing by the City Council. <br />£ PREV-361. Generations Healthcare. Inc. <br />Workshop to review and provide comments for a proposal to change the existing <br />zoning designation of a 0.49-acre open azea located at 300 Neal Street from <br />P (Public and Institutional) District to PUD-MDR (Planned Unit Development - <br />Medium Density Residential) District for the development of two, two-story <br />single-family residences in the front of the existing skilled nursing facility. <br />Ms. Decker summazized the staff report, and reviewed the scope and layout of this <br />proposed project. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Peazce regarding whether the applicant had <br />expressed an interest in expanding the facility, Ms. Decker confirmed that the applicant's <br />business plan was not to expand. This item was mentioned in response to the <br />neighborhood concerns and because it is an infill site and a green buffer azea used by the <br />residents. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Maas regazding whether the City had any <br />interest in keeping the buffer zone as open space, Ms. Decker replied that it did not. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Blank regazding written comments, <br />Ms. Decker replied that several had been received and generally addressed the loss of the <br />open space to the neighborhood, as well as concern about the inconvenience caused by <br />infill sites constructed within the neighborhood azea. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Blank regazding whether minutes had been <br />taken at the December 6, 2005, neighborhood meeting, Ms. Decker said no. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES January 25, 2006 Page 14 of 19 <br />
