CALL TO ORDER -PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairperson Ellgas called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was <br />recited. ~,~ ~,µN,Gt^- <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Jim Dibiase~ Pentin, and Chairperson Karen Ellgas. <br />(Commissioner Teddy Kinzer arrived at 7:12 p.m.) <br />Commissioners Absent: None. <br />Staff Present: Jim Wolfe, Parks and Community Services Director; Mike Fulford, <br />Landscape Architect; Lisa Hagopian, Parks Maintenance Superintendent; <br />and Edith Caponigro, Recording Secretary. <br />Consultants: Wayne Rasmussen and Jacque Keller. <br />2. CONTINUED DISCUSSION OF POTENTIAL RECREATIONAL AMENITIES FOR THE <br />PROPOSED STAPLES RANCH COMMUNITY PARK <br />Mr. Wolfe reviewed the process for potential recreational amenities for the proposed Staples Ranch <br />Community Park, and provided information from the first workshop conducted on March 1, 2007. He <br />advised that after taking into consideration all of the comments and recommendations made by the <br />Commission at the first workshop, the consultants would be reviewing two (2) additional design schemes. <br />Consultants, Jacque Keller and Wayne Rasmussen reviewed the alternative park designs, and advised that <br />each included the five (5) amenities that had been overwhelmingly supported by the Commission. Ms. <br />Keller further discussed shared vehicle access, trees, on-site dirt stockpile, and the all-weather sports fields <br />currently in use in Danville. <br />Commissioner Pentin questioned the proposed Sharks loading dock area being accessed from the <br />community park parking area.
