Timeline for deliverables to be determined upon completion of Annual <br />Interpretive Plan. <br />III. Administrative Services <br />ALVHS, in consultation with City staff, will provide a series of administrative <br />services designed to develop and strengthen each agency's respective programs at the <br />Museum on Main Street and Alviso Adobe Community Park. At the same time, <br />develop and strengthen an evolving partnership of joint/collaborative programs. <br />These services should include: <br />A. Volunteer/Docent Coordination Services <br />ALVHS will recruit and coordinate a pool of volunteers/docents to serve at <br />both the Museum on Main Street and Alviso Adobe Community Park. Each <br />volunteer/docent will be trained by ALVHS and City staff to work at both <br />sites. Volunteer/Docent work schedules will be created and coordinated <br />through ALVHS, in consultation with City staff. The program should be <br />developed so that an individual volunteer/docent has the opportunity to serve <br />at both the Museum and Alviso Adobe on a rotating basis. The program <br />should recognize and provide for several styles or categories of service, <br />including the passive roles of greeter, monitor, archive maintenance, etc, and <br />more active roles of "historical reenactor", tour leader, storyteller, activity <br />leader/monitor, etc. A minimum of three docents per day will be required to <br />assist with the Young Explorers visitation program at Alviso Adobe. This <br />will accommodate an activity plan centered on the use of various learning <br />stations, highlight various skills, concepts, etc. A docent for each station will <br />be available to work with and assist students. Docents will be needed at <br />various times on weekends throughout the year, and for special summer <br />programs at Alviso Adobe Community Park. <br />TimelineBenchmarks/Parameters for Tasks and Deliverables <br />Post docent search 1 S` week December until 3'd week of January <br />Review candidate's application last week of January <br />Acceptance letters sent end of January <br />Docent training dates mid-February and mid August (enhancement training <br />B. Publicity Assistance <br />ALVHS shall work closely with the City to promote and publicize all joint <br />programs and events. ALVHS staff shall be made available to provide <br />information, graphics, archival material, etc. and assist in the development of <br />flyers, press releases, advertisements, etc. Opportunities for the development <br />of Internet -based information sites should also be explored and implemented, <br />where practicable. <br />6 <br />
