Aril 1-Mail out reservation reminder/announcement to schools <br />A ril 7- Scheduling begins for following (and current) academic year, lottery <br />contingency plan fully developed <br />Late August -Teacher Study packets available for mailing <br />Teacher confirmation calls and field trip reminder two (2) weeks before trip <br />date <br />Cancellations must be three (3) weeks in advance <br />B. Development of Teacher Resource Manuals and Study Guides <br />ALVHS, in consultation with PUSD, will develop and distribute teacher <br />resource and study guides for each of the fall and spring education programs <br />held jointly at the Museum and Alviso Adobe. The City will be responsible <br />for the printing costs of these materials. The City can have City staff print the <br />materials. Alternatively, the City may ask ALVHS to print the materials or <br />hire someone to print the materials. In that case, ALVHS will provide the <br />City with an estimate for said printing costs, and if approved by City, ALVHS <br />shall submit an invoice to the City for reimbursement. <br />The materials will be grade level appropriate, and conform to the California <br />State Education Curriculum Standards and Framework for Kindergarten <br />through 5~' Grade. Each will include narratives, historical resources and <br />suggested activities that prepare teachers and students for their visits to the <br />Museum and Alviso Adobe. The manuals and guides will be tailored to the <br />specific theme and focus of the particular fall or spring program, i.e. Ohlone <br />Indian Technology; Californio Families in the Valley; History of the Dairy <br />Industry in the Valley; etc. The City shall be <br />Timeline/Benchmarks/Parameters for Tasks and Deliverables <br />Meeting #1 November -Review lessons learned develop program goals/ <br />vision for next academic year <br />Meeting #2 January - Plan/materials development <br />Meeting #3 April -Interpretive Plan complete <br />April -August -Study guide development and printing <br />Late August -Packets available for distribution <br />C. Development of Visitor Guides for Joint Exhibits/programs <br />ALVHS will develop printed visitor guides containing historical background <br />information to be distributed to visitors attending collaborative exhibits and <br />programs at both the Museum and Alviso Adobe. <br />Timeline/Benchmark/Parameters for Tasks and Deliverables <br />Collaborative School Program -See above <br />5 <br />
