~-,, <br />~-. <br />Chairman Plato opened the Public Nearing. Mr. Castro requested a continuance <br />of this item, as per applicant's request. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and <br />carried, the following resolution was adopted unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 892 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Spivak-Bollinger Development <br />Company to rezone from an A (Agricultural) <br />District to the C-N (Commercial Neighborhood) <br />District that property described as Parcel 15 <br />of Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1100, <br />containing 1.37 acres, more or less, and <br />bounded by Santa Rita Road and Tassa,jara Road, <br />has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that at the request of the applicant, <br />this matter be continued to the next regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission on May 14, <br />1969. <br />c. Article 17 - Signs <br />Application of the Planning Commission to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 520 regarding <br />the prohibiting of A-board signs (continued from April 9, 1969). <br />Chairman Plato opened the Public Nearing. Mr. Castro felt that there is sufficient <br />control regarding the signing program, but that it was necessary to curb this <br />particular type of free-standing sign. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and <br />carried, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, <br />the following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 893 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the Planning Commission <br />fora resolution to amend Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 520 regarding the prohibiting of free- <br />standing signs, has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Pleasanton hereby amends said Zoning <br />Ordinance No. 520 by adding Section 17.114 <br />Prohibited Signs, as follows: <br />"Sec. 17.114 Prohibited Signs. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS - NEW BIISINSSS. <br />The following signs are prohibited and shall <br />not be erected or maintained by any person: <br />a. A-Board (typically with two aides 3oined <br />at the top and separated at the bottom so <br />as to generally form an "A" shape)." <br />a. UP-69-9. Rinker Develotment Comvanv <br />Application to allow the construction of a service station on the southeast corner <br />of Nopyard Road and Interstate x`580, containing .64 acres, more or less, in a <br />C-F (Commercial Freeway) District. <br />- 6 - <br />
