. ,~--
RESOLUTION N0. 913
-,.
WHEREAS, the request for clarification by Mrs. Wave L.
Peterson for the storage rental of garage
area of a duplex located at 344-346 W. Angela
Street in an RM-1500 District, Pleasanton, has
came before this Commission,
NOW,, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission
denies the use of the garage area as storage
facilities at 344-346 West Angela Street in an
RM-1500 District, said use being in violation
of Zoning Ordinance No. 520.
6. NEW BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARINGS.
a. UP-69-14, Jeff Bumb
Application for a conditional use permit to allow the operation of a refuse
disposal yard at that property described as Parcel 9, Assessor's Map Book 946,
Block 1250, or more commonly known as the south side of Stanley Boulevard
going east to Livermore, across from Raiser Sand and Gravel Company, containing
39.135 scree, more or less.
Chairman Carrigan opened the Public Hearing. Planning Director Castro referred
to the staff report which summarized the situation as it presently stands,
pointing out to the Commissioners that the dump would have to be rated Class 3
to qualify for approval by the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Mr. Jeff Bumb, the applicant, was present and answered questions which the
Commissioners had. Aowever, the Regional Quality Control Board had requested
certain information which they required in order to review this application
at their June 24, 1969 meeting, and after the City of Pleasanton receives this
data from the Regional Water Quality Control Board, the department would be
in a position to evaluate this application.
Mr. Castro stated that there did not appear to be any real problems. The area
on the General Plan shows it to be in the C-S (Commercial Service) area, and
the staff will include this area as part of the planning study now being done.
However, the type of use would be more suited to the I-G District. The
Commissioners questioned the applicant regarding the different classes of dumping
facilities and the required conditions for qualifications.
As no action could be taken, upon motion of Chairman Carrigan, seconded by
Commissioner Antonini and carried, the Public Rearing was continued.
Upon motion of Chairman Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried,
the following resolution was unanimously adopted.
RESOLUTION N0. 914
WHEREAS, the application of Jeff Bumb for a conditional use
permit to allow the operation of a refuse disposal
yard at that property described as Parcel 9,
Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1250, or more commonly
known as the south side of Stanley Boulevard going
east to Livermore, across from Kaiser Sand and
Gravel Company, containing 39.135 acres, more or
less, has come before this Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that pending receipt from the
Begional Water Quality Control Board of information
that the site will meet the requirements for a
Class S dump, this application is hereby continued
to June 25, 1969.
- 5 -
